TERMS OF USE FOR ALUMNI PLATFORM
This Terms of Use document defines the rules to use the website (“Website”) “mezun.bilgi.edu.tr” operated by İstanbul Bilgi University (“BİLGİ”).
Within this Terms of Use document, Website users (“The User”) refer to the real persons who use, log in and enter to the Website via any computer, digital or mobile device, either as a visitor or subscriber creating an account via the Portal on the Website.
- Agreement to Terms of Use
This Terms of Use document (hereinafter referred to as “Terms of Use” or “Terms”) covers the Privacy Policy and all other rules on the Website. Any visit to the Website or using the services by the user shall mean that the user accepts and agrees to act in accordance with these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy which is an inseparable part of these terms and all rules determined in these documents.
- Basic Terms and the User Liabilities
This Terms of Use document covers Website rules solely. BİLGİ shall not have any explicit or implicit warranty, undertaking or liability regarding the website links given by BİLGİ or User on the Website or the contents of them. All actions in respect of links directed to other sites are under the risk and at the discretion of the user.
The User shall accept and undertake that s/he read and clearly understood these Terms of Use, s/he will be able to use the Website only if s/he abides these Terms, s/he will be liable for any acts against these Terms and BİLGİ will recourse to her/himself for any damages arising from any failure to comply with these Terms.
Pursuant to Law No.5561 on Regulating Broadcasting in the Internet and Fighting against Crimes Committed through Internet Broadcasting, BİLGİ is the hosting provider for any kind of comment, post and content shared by the users on the Portal. In the event that posts and content provided by the Users breach the rights of third persons or other users BİLGİ shall not have any legal or criminal liability.
BİLGİ has the right to make any change, removal and other similar actions on the website or Portal, its interfaces, codes and the content contained on the Website. In the event that mentioned chases cause unfavorable results for the users, BİLGİ shall not have any legal or criminal liability. BİLGİ also has the rights to cancel or suspend its services whenever it considers necessary.
BİLGİ shall not have any liability for damages arising from ill-intentioned third persons’ attack to Website and damage to data and content shared by the users, in spite of all security measures taken by BİLGİ.
Texts, photos and many items, not limited to these, related to content shared on the Website may fall wihtin the scope of copyright and other intellectual property rights. Users shall not perform any action on these items including but not limited to copying, changing, saving in another environment and sharing without getting necessary approvals/permissions from the right owners.
All items of BİLGİ website and Portal including but not limited to Website’s design, interface, texts and source codes are also protected within the scope of BİLGİ’s copyrights. None of these items shall be copied to any environment, changed, shared and subject to similar actions without BİLGİ’s approval and permission.
- Confidentiality Terms and Personal Data Processing
Rules and principles for confidentiality of data shared through the website and processing of user’s personal data are covered in İstanbul Bilgi University Clarification Text on Data Processing for the Alumni. Once the user enters to the Website, it means s/he accepts the provisions in İstanbul Bilgi University Clarification Text on Data Processing for the Alumni.
- Change in Terms of Use
BİLGİ may make changes to this Terms of Use document upon at its sole discretion or terminate the Terms temporarily. In the event that BİLGİ makes any change to these Terms, new Terms of Use shall be applied for all users from the date of the change.
- Applied Law and Authorization
Turkish Law shall be applied for application and interpretation of these Terms and management of legal relations arising from these Terms. İstanbul Central Courts and Enforcement Offices are authorized for all kinds of disputes arising from application of Terms.
